how women ruin romance
Yes, I said it. Women ruin romance by stifling it under the weight of enormous expectations. they ruin it by stifling it with the expected accumulation of material goods. they stifle it by comparing it to the fantasy they read in books and see on the silver screen.
Why?
Romance is the simple things, but many women feel the need for big gestures? Why?
Is it the need to go and compare gestures? I hope not because that just seems silly.
Romance is when you make sure the person's favorite snack is there, when you call to say hello during the day, when you can sit together in total silence and just enjoy each other's company.
but that doesnt fit onto a hallmark card does it?

I like phonecalls in the middle of the day. I like holding hands and laughing thru movies. I like when the guy helps me hold my hands over my eyes thru the scariest part of the film.
I like to find little notes hidden around to surprise me with just a nice little "hello".. or maybe a funny voicemail. I like to look up at the stars and make shapes out of them. And find funny faces in the clouds.
I like laughing... and anything.. at nothing... at everything. I like surprise picnics or long busrides or...
*sigh*
but what difference does it make? You find the girls that expect you to move mountains and deliver a dozen red roses every day.... And I find the guys who think romance is commenting on the panties before trying to get into them.
So why bother?
